
She has advised Indian and multinational banks and financial institutions extensively on corporate and debt restructuring and investments into distressed assets in the energy, manufacturing, roads and port sectors.
Anjana has an extensive experience of over 21+ years and specialises in banking and finance with expertise in debt restructuring, structured and project funding (secured, limited recourse and syndicated), financing of inward and outbound mergers and acquisitions, real estate financing, and general banking products.
Anjana also advises on asset and mortgage-backed securitisation and has been acknowledged for advice on risk participations and other bespoke structuring in the securitisation market. She has also advised private equity funds, corporates, and sovereign funds on share and asset acquisitions across various sectors and jurisdictions including advice on funding structures for such acquisitions and related documentation.
Additionally, Anjana has extensive experience in debt and convertible securities and debt capital markets and has advised on structures and transactions (both inbound and outbound) relating to primary and secondary investment into equity, debt securities, convertible and non-convertible debentures and preference shares with structured security package.
Before joining Samvad, Anjana was a partner in JSA, an Of Counsel with Cyril Amarchand Mangaldas for over two and a half years after being an in house counsel at ICICI Bank Limited for almost nine years
Anjana is an alumnus of the National Law School of India University - Bangalore (2005).
