Samvad Partners advised 8i Ventures on its investment in wealthtech platform PowerUp Money. PowerUp has raised a total of approx. INR 60 crores. The round was led by Accel, Blume Ventures, and Kae Capital, with participation from 8i Ventures and DeVC.

The Company operates a digital platform (comprising a mobile application and website) and non-digital channels to provide users with access to financial planning and literacy services, as well as the digital distribution of fixed deposits.

The Samvad team advising on the transaction included Partner Junaira Rahman, Partner Gauri Khanna, Associate Akash Arya, and Associate Shivi Shrivastava.

Samvad Partners advised WEH Ventures II, in their investment in Alphawave Technologies Private Limited during its Series A funding round, raising a total of INR 50,45,46,216/-. The round was led by Nexus Venture Partners, with participation from existing investors WEH Ventures II and Titan Capital.
 
Alphawave Technologies Private Limited is engaged in the business of providing a cyber resilience startup operating under the brand name ‘Mitigata™ - Smart cyber insurance’. The funds will be used by Mitigata to accelerate the development of its AI-powered security and risk management platform, to enhance its suite of cyber resilience services, and scale operations.

Samvad Partners advises Eight Roads Ventures on secondary sale in MoEngage, Whatfix, and Shadowfax
 
Samvad Partners advised Eight Roads Ventures on the partial secondary sale of its shareholding in MoEngage, Whatfix, and Shadowfax to TR Capital Group, a leading investor in secondary transactions across Asia. The sale, valued at over USD 50 million, involved the transfer of stakes across all three companies as part of a single, consolidated transaction.
 
MoEngage is a customer engagement platform enabling brands to drive personalised digital communication. Whatfix offers enterprise software solutions that enhance digital adoption and user experience. Shadowfax provides technology-enabled logistics services to businesses across sectors in India.
 
The transaction reflects the growing depth of India’s private capital markets and required careful alignment across multiple companies and stakeholders within a unified deal structure.
 
The Samvad team comprised Junaira Rahman (Partner), Pratik Patnaik (Partner), Akhairaj Singh (Senior Associate), and Akash Arya (Associate). 

DEAL ANNOUNCEMENT

International Credit Rating Agency (ICRA), an affiliate of Moody’s, has signed definitive agreements to acquire 100% of Fintellix India from LFG Services Mauritius Holdings and G2 Acquisition, for INR2.25 billion (USD26 million).

Saraf and Partners advised ICRA on due diligence, structuring and documentation. Vaibhav Kakkar, along with Snigdhaneel Satpathy and Debarpan Ghosh, led the transaction team.
 
The sellers are affiliated with Stellex Capital Management, a US-based private equity firm. Samvad Partners represented the selling shareholders.

Samvad Partners advised Edelweiss Discovery Fund - Series I a fund and operated and managed by EAAA Alternatives, in its investment in one of India's largest D2C jewellery brand 'Giva' in the Series C funding round, led by reputed private equity firms Creaegis and PI Opportunities Fund II. The funds will be used to expand Giva’s offline and digital presence, enhance its tech-enabled supply chain, and grow its lab-grown diamond and gold jewellery segments.

Blissclub raised an approximate capital of USD 3.8 million in the funding round, led by Eight Roads and Elevation Capital. Blissclub is engaged in the business of retail sale of active lifestyle apparel, accessories and related products and services.

We at Samvad Partners have been working with Aapti Institute to create an app for tracking government notifications relating to the Covid-19 Crisis. The app uses resources from the 'Covid-19 Legal Resources' Google Drive folder created by us at Samvad and provides an easy way to search and view all Central and State legislations, notifications and court/tribunal orders related to the Covid-19 crisis.

As with the Google Drive folder, this app is also being made available as a public resource. We're happy to announce that the app is now ready for launch.
