Goutham is a disputes resolution lawyer with over a decade of experience in advising and representing domestic and multinational clients in high-value commercial litigation, arbitration, white-collar crime, regulatory enforcement and shareholder disputes. He routinely appears and argues before various fora including the Karnataka High Court, NCLT, Arbitral Tribunals, Commercial Court, Sectoral Regulators and DRTs.
Goutham has acted in contentious high-stakes disputes arising from complex commercial contracts, shareholder and investment agreements, sophisticated financial fraud and regulatory investigations, including matters involving claims of over thousand crores. His practice spans civil and commercial litigation, domestic and cross-border arbitration, consumer and employment disputes, and sensitive white-collar and regulatory proceedings. He regularly advises boards, senior management and in-house teams on litigation strategy, regulatory risk and mitigation, and crisis management. His client base spans insurers, telecom companies, IT and technology enterprises, stock exchanges, private banks, and trusts. He is known amongst his clients for his resource-efficient and execution-focused work with a strong emphasis on aligning legal outcomes with business realities, enabling clients to take commercially sound decisions at each stage of a dispute.
Goutham is an alumnus of the National Academy for Legal Studies and Research, Hyderabad (2010- 2015) He is admitted to practice law in India.
He enjoys swimming, table tennis and e-sports as he owned and ran a PlayStation cybercafé years ago. He has a deep interest in astronomy and the mysteries of the universe. He also likes to collect fountain pens and distinct ink colours.
